Home Rehabilitation

Rebuilding Together Henry County conducts home repairs for low-income primarily seniors, veterans, persons with disabilities, and families with children. Work days are held the April through October. All repairs are free-of-charge to the homeowner. Projects focus on safety, warmth, and independence. By providing essential home repairs, we are able to create safe and comfortable living environments while also fostering a sense of community and support.

Homeowners are referred through neighborhood associations, churches, synagogues, community organizations, and service groups, or by self-referral. Referrals are reviewed and projects are selected based on a variety of qualifications that include income level and current living situation.

The range of repairs conducted by Rebuilding Together Henry County is diverse, covering a wide spectrum of home improvement tasks. These repairs can include painting, repairing roofs, fixing plumbing or electrical issues, enhancing insulation, and much more. Our dedicated volunteers, including skilled tradespeople and community members, work together on selected dates throughout the year to complete these projects. Projects are selected and worked on on several dates through out the year. This inclues our biggest volunteer day, National Rebuilding Day in April.
