In the past 25+ years of RTHC service to the communities in Henry County, we have seen an increase in seniors choosing to age in place in their homes, increasing the need for adaptive equipment and home modifications.
The length of hospital stays have decreased significantly to where patients can no longer regain their independence before returning home. This necessitates the temporary need for adaptive equipment.
Medicare and insurance companies have decreased coverage of durable medical equipment, and do not cover most of the equipment we carry. The need for adaptive equipment is increasing. There are no other loan equipment programs that serve ALL of Henry County.
RTHC are the equipment owners. We accept only the listed equipment in good condition. The equipment is inspected by qualified persons, sanitized, and minor repairs completed. All equipment items are numbered for equipment tracking. [Re]Use equipment is to be returned when no longer need. Customers sign an equipment waiver and check-out form. Instructions are provided for equipment return.
