Wheelchair ramps give our neighbors with mobility challenges a safer, easier way to enter and exit their homes. With improved access, individuals can travel to medical appointments, run errands, visit family, or simply enjoy time outdoors.
Our ramps are constructed from treated lumber using modular sections that “float” on the ground, allowing for flexibility and durability. Each ramp is built to meet all safety standards and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines, improving accessibility while protecting the home. Rebuilding Together Henry County returns annually to weatherize all exposed wood, helping ensure long-term safety and performance.
Rebuilding Together Henry County (RTHC) is committed to ensuring that every neighbor in need has safe, reliable access to their home. To help sustain our Ramp Program and serve as many households as possible, we encourage voluntary cost-sharing from participating homeowners.
Suggested contributions are based on household income and reflect the actual cost of materials and operating expenses. No one is denied assistance due to an inability to contribute. Homeowners are invited to share in the cost of their project to the extent that they are able.
By contributing toward materials and operations, participants help RTHC continue providing critical accessibility improvements for others in our community.
